Students at St. Charles Borromeo are once again competing in the New Orleans Academic Games League (NOAGL). In Academic Games, students try to outthink each other. Academic Games consists of four academically challenging games which help develop math, logic, and reasoning skills. These games include “Onsets” and “Equations” for math, “Propaganda” for language arts, and “Presidents” for history.
20 students from grades 5th through 7th are competing this year with the goal of qualifying to attend the national competition in Wheeling, West Virginia, in April, 2017.
The following students are Academic Game Team members this school year: 7th graders – Allison, Margaret, Christopher, Madelyn, Hailey, and Amanda; 6th graders – Samantha, Michael, Erin, and Sophia; 5th graders – Owen, Tony, Michael, Joseph, Kamryn, Elly, Vivian, Julian, Taelor, and Riley.
Fourth graders are invited to join for the Equations competition.
